Sports + rec: Chin music

We know the Twins are terrible at baseball, but how do they rank as music aficionados? Every year, players choose which song they want to hear prior to their at-bats. We secured the team's 2012 walk-up tracks from music director Dan Edwards, and added some rock-snob critiques of our own.
Justin Morneau gets cranked up with a little AC/DC
Denard Span: "Round of Applause," Waka Flocka Flame. As far as radio rap goes, it doesn't get much better than Waka Flocka.
Jamey Carroll: "Dirt Road Anthem," Jason Aldean. You'd like to think that Carroll, 38, has matured past pandering country-rap. A bush-league pick.
Joe Mauer: "What You Know," T.I. Yes, Mauer's glaringly white. But T.I.'s bangin' 2006 single is always a winner.
Justin Morneau: "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution," AC/DC. AC/DC ain't for thinking; they're for getting jacked-up. Purpose served.
Josh Willingham: "Your Love," the Outfield. It's hard to resist this cheeseball '80s power-pop standard. Nicely done.
Ryan Doumit: "Mother," Danzig. Way to go, new guy! This 1988 metal classic is ideal dinger-smackin' material.
Danny Valencia: "MMG Untouchable," Rick Ross. Valencia, the team's douchiest player, would relate to lines such as "Bitch look at my face, I'm a grown ass man/ I'm buying real estate, and I'm building my plans."
Trevor Plouffe: "When the Levee Breaks," Led Zeppelin. Plouffe realizes he only gets like 15 seconds of this seven-minute Zep blues-rocker, right? Decent, but far from practical.
Alexi Casilla: "Si No Le Contesto," Plan B. Lusty Puerto Rican reggaeton for the (possibly) lusty Dominican. Better suited for grinding than OBP.
