Fashion + Shopping: Ship & Shape

The vintage pop-up sale trend is still going strong.

Ship & Shape summer collection

Instead of selling their wares in brick-and-mortar shops or on Etsy, a band of local artists and designers joined forces for their own e-commerce site, Ship & Shape. The group launches a new, limited-edition collection quarterly, and last week saw the launch of their latest -- a summery, carefully curated grouping of bright beaded jewelry, printed cotton scarves, and ceramics that are more artful than crafty. Vintage sales

The vintage pop-up sale trend is still going strong, as evidenced by two sales this weekend. Vendor co-op Band of Thrifters is throwing a Summer Garden Party, with an overflowing stock of summer threads for men and women. (Noon-5 p.m. Sat. Scout, 2101 E. 38th St., Mpls.) The original vintage pop-up sale Mighty Swell is back with a two-day event that will be packed with warm-weather wearables for men and women from nine vendors, including sundresses, beachwear and accessories. (10 a.m.-7 p.m. Sat., noon-5 p.m. Sun. Mighty Swell, 3109 E. 42nd. St., Mpls.)
