It was beauty before age here, as listmakers ranked TCF Bank Stadium (opened in 2009) and Target Field (2010) as the top two local sports venues. Perhaps an indictment of our piss-poor pro teams, the University of Minnesota's Mariucci and Williams arenas fared well with fans. The St. Paul Saints' Midway Stadium ranked considerably higher than the Vikings' maligned downtown Minneapolis home, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome. Fans of horse racing (Canterbury Park) and not buying tickets (Minneapolis city parks) made their voices heard at the tail end of the list. - JAY BOLLER
