Q: What's your take on the local fashion scene?

A: It's definitely evolved tremendously. It's kind of exciting to watch new tastemakers pave their way alongside the tried and true.

Q: What's your favorite thing about fashion styling?

A: Seeing the end result. Envisioning an entire look, feeling and/or aesthetic and seeing it come to life right before your eyes.

Q: You have a blog showcasing your personal style (daveesecrets.blogspot.com). Where do you look for style inspiration?

A: Friends, random people I see on the street and fashion blogs.

Q: Your Instagram handle is "youngbrokefabulous." What does it take to be just that?

A: My friends used to give me grief for wearing designer bags but having no money to fill them with. You would basically fit the criteria if, given a choice between eating your next meal or a new pair of lust-worthy shoes, you'd choose the latter.

Q: What are the Twin Cities' most stylish hot spots?

A: Fashion events, BGF dance parties, Northeast, Jetset, Muddy Waters and the streets! Q: You're a big Harry Potter geek. Who's your favorite character and why? A: My favorite character has to be Snape -- only the best double spy ever. Take that, James Bond!
