If you told someone in 1999 that snoozer "Total Request Live" host Carson Daly would be thoughtfully interviewing a blind/albino/Muslim indie-rapper from Minnesota one day, you'd get called crazy. Alas, it's a nutty world out there, one that recently saw Daly chat with Brother Ali about his success, politics and faith. It's a career win for Ali, and a head-scratching lesson in pigeonholing for the rest of us.
