Monday: Grammy-winning gospel group brings yuletide favorites to the Dakota.

The Blind Boys of Alabama

7 p.m. Mon.-Tue. • Dakota Jazz Club • $45

For their 2003 Christmas album, "Go Tell It on the Mountain," the Blind Boys of Alabama invited an odd-lot parade of guests, including George Clinton, Tom Waits, Solomon Burke, Michael Franti, Chrissie Hynde and Mavis Staples. Although it was part of a trend for the Blind Boys to boost sales by collaborating with household names, it wasn't necessary. If there's any harmonizing group that knows how to celebrate "Silent Night, "White Christmas" and other yuletide favorites, it's roof-raising Jimmy Carter and the Blind Boys. JON BREAM
