The 4onthefloor played Target Field last September and were smart to return in May instead this year (when there's sure to be a few more people in the stands).
As is often the Twins’ game plan, it’s the little things that add up to make winning games. The team is adding a little extra fun to its Wednesday games this year to win over fans in the form of the Midwest Music Series, wherein local bands will perform a mini-concert before each game from a balcony in left field (below the Budweiser Party Deck), and then they will drop in music here and there throughout.
The series was put together by the team with the Pohlad-owned Twins broadcasting station KTWIN 96.3 FM, which is also hosting a contest to win the final slot in the series on Aug. 28. Bands can submit a song and short bio to: The Sound Factor / Midwest Music Showcase, 96.3 K-TWIN, 420 North 5th Street, Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55401; or via email at Contest@KTWIN.com.
Of the bands who already won slots, the date to circle is clearly the July 3 pairing of P.O.S. with the Yankees. Who needs fireworks?! The 4onthefloor kicks off the series at the May 15 day game after already performing at Target Field last year, as did Trampled by Turtles, who return Aug. 14. By a wonderful coincidence, Wednesdays also happen to be Dollar-a-Dog Day at the ballpark again this year. Here’s the full schedule:

MAY 29: GB Leighton (7:10 p.m. vs. Brewers)
JUNE 12: Jack Knife & the Sharps (7:10 p.m. vs. Phillies)
JUNE 19: Hitchville (7:10 p.m. vs. White Sox)
JULY 3: P.O.S. (7:10 p.m. vs. Yankees)
