Co-designer Luci Kandler introduced the nine-piece collection with a sunny enthusiasm, saying the collection was inspired by "a new twist on lace." Opening night was overcrowded! It wasn't even worth standing in line to see the exhibit, since it will be on display through June. Had a great time talking to artists and looking at all the cool shoes though! Check out the MIA's Flickr account for some great pics of the night. [...] |

Opening night was ridiculously overcrowded, but I doubt it will be like that again. It felt like a better looking and better smelling version of the state fair. That being said, the exhibit itself is great. 5,000 untagged pieces proved to be art overload, so be prepared to go more than once if you can. [...] |
