Pride Festival: Last year’s Pride festivities got a boost with the passing of the same-sex marriage amendment in Minnesota. This year for the first time, legal weddings will be performed at the 42nd annual Pride Festival, plus vendor booths, food and drink. (10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sun., free. Pride in Concert: Headlined by pop singer Betty Who, gay country singer Steve Grand, Motown icon Thelma Houston and legendary “Rhythm Is a Dancer” singer Thea Austin, plus DJ Rich B. (5 p.m. Sat., $10-$75. 18-plus. Loring Park, Mpls.

Pride Beer Dabbler: Unlimited craft-beer samples from 27 local breweries. Food from 27 food trucks paired with a beer — think craft beer-battered fish — plus a $3 tasting option and music from Black Market Brass, Black Diet and Apollo Cobra. Lush Pride Block Parties: L.A. club DJ Dawna Montell on Friday (9 p.m., $10); L.A.’s DJ Pornstar, Brent Corrigan of “Fleshjack,” male dancers and drink specials on Saturday (9 p.m.-2 a.m., $10.) and DJs Chrystal Mann and Kris Holliday on Sunday (4 p.m.-2 a.m., free). Ashley Rukes GLBT Pride Parade: The annual Pride parade is nothing short of a spectacle, with participants as colorful as the floats. Look for appearances from the North Star Roller Girls, North Star Gay Rodeo, Dykes on Bikes, former Minneapolis mayor R.T. Rybak and current mayor Betsy Hodges. The swankiest way to take it all in? A rooftop brunch party (see below). (11 a.m. Sun. Free. Hennepin Av. S. between 3rd St. & Spruce Pl., Mpls.

“Bitch N Brunch”: Parade viewing party hosted by drag queen Bitch Flowers on Seven Sushi’s rooftop, with DJ Shiek, former Viking Esera Tuaolo and an all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. (10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sun. $10-$30. Seven Sushi, 700 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls.

“Be Bold”: Lavender Magazine hosts a parade-viewing dance party with Flip Phone DJ Fancy Restaurant and a free cocktail, with proceeds benefiting OutFront Minnesota. (9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sun. $10. Crave, 825 Hennepin Av. S., Mpls.)

Margaret Cho: The Korean-American, bisexual comic has run the gamut of hot-button topics, from substance abuse and eating disorders, to her bisexuality, her obsession with gay men and Asian-American stereotypes. Along the way, she became an advocate for GLBT issues. Cho brings her provocative, socially-charged act to town with this Pride kickoff show. (8 p.m. Thu. $29.50-$125. Grown & Sexy Pride: Burlesque and drag come together for the annual party hosted by burlesque darlings Sweetpea and Nadine DuBois and DJ Shannon Blowtorch. The show is headlined by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 4 contestant Willam Belli. Also performing: Dykes Do Drag, the Vigilantease Collective, drag troupe Suck It!, and Seattle burlesque stars the Luminous Pariah and Iva Handful. (9 p.m. Fri. $15. 18-plus. Queertopia: The long-running queer cabaret features drag, burlesque and gender-bending acts exploring gender and sexuality with provocative performance. This year’s lineup features Sage Award-winning Chitra Vairavan of Ananya Dance Theatre and inventive performance collective SuperGroup. (7:30 p.m. Wed.-Sat. $12-$15. Intermedia Arts, 2822 Lyndale Av. Twin Cities Rainbow Pride Ball: The ballroom community hosts an old-school, competitive ball (a dance battle with vogueing, posing and over-the-top costumes) with categories including “School Boy Realness,” “Executive Realness” and “Virgin Vogue.” (8 p.m.-2 a.m. Sat. $20-$25.
