Local experimental troupe Marijuana Deathsquads released their “Tamper. Disable. Destroy.” mixtape Tuesday and, as they declare in opener “We Do This,” it “moves butts.”

The Deathsquads, maestro’d by Gayngs ringleader Ryan Olson, christened the release with a late-night bash Sunday night at Icehouse for Totally Gross National Product’s party. The free tape is marked by subwoofer-friendly production and dirty, theme-heavy content about boffin', gettin’ high and orderin’ pizza. Let’s just say no one is going to do the twist to this one.

As always for Olson, more is merrier, and this mixtape seeks help from the darlingest of Midwest darlings. We’re talking P.O.S., Astronautalis, Poliça’s Channy Leaneagh (on the groovy and serene prize of the tape, “Top Down”) and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon.

“Tamper. Disable. Destroy” has all the makings of a bump-worthy mixtape for the culmination of the summer of ’12. Plus, if its chant-able tagline catches on as the new battle cry for Minneapolis hip-hop heads, perhaps everyone will stop saying “Bangarang.”
