Local fashion designer is big on sustainability, faux fur.

Q: As a Minnesota native who recently moved back, what have been some of your favorite new discoveries?

A: The Grand Cafe, the Settlers of Catan board game, smart wool thigh-highs and making new friends.

Q: Any old favorite hangs you're excited to return to?

A: It's been strange and exciting feeling like a tourist in the place I grew up. Cliché is my favorite clothing boutique that I always make time to stop in. Also, I've always had a soft spot for the Loring Pasta Bar and of course Lake Harriet and Calhoun.

Q: Your sustainable clothing line uses textiles and artisans from Ghana. What about sustainable fashion are you passionate about?

A: Being able to show customers the where and who of the process that my pieces came to exist in front of you. Hard work went into each piece, as well as integrity and fairness.

Q: What are some easy ways people can be sustainable when it comes to fashion?

A: Look at tags for the brand so you can go on their website and learn the background story.

Q: How do you stay stylish in snowy weather?

A: Lots of faux fur.
