Indeed Brewing to double capacity

The northeast Minneapolis brewery plans to invest a cool quarter-million bucks to bolster its production capacity.

In the six months since Indeed Brewing Company opened its well-trafficked taproom, its big (but not too big) flagship beers have become favorites among local fans. Good thing, because there’s about to be a lot more of it.

On Monday, Indeed’s owners announced that they plan to plunk down $250,000 to add production equipment, cellar tanks and employees, doubling its production capacity to 6,400 barrels a year. It sounds like a bold move for any young business, but clearly owners believe they’ve got the beers to back it up (and they’re probably right).

In other Nordeast brew news, 612Brew (945 Broadway St. NE, Mpls.) opens its taproom Wednesday and Northgate Brewing (3134 California St. NE, Mpls.) kicks off its growler sales from 2-6 p.m. Saturday.
