The 2013 season of's August Music and Movies is all about youth and adventure. The free, all-ages series will go down at 7:30 p.m. each Friday in August at the Lake Harriet Bandshell.

For music, we've got nascent singer-songwriter John Mark Nelson, buzzy indie-rockers Now, Now, pop-rock duo Strange Names and emerging alt-country singer Frankie Lee.

As for the movies, it's all about '80s kiddie adventures. Beloved 1985 Josh Brolin vehicle "The Goonies" leads the charge, with 1987's "Adventures in Babysitting" and 1986's "Space Camp" also getting love. The final flick of the summer? That's up to you (fan-favorite voting opens soon).

There might even be (City of Minneapolis-approved) beer!

Here's the complete schedule:

AUG. 2: John Mark Nelson + "The Goonies"

AUG. 9: Now, Now + "Adventures in Babysitting"

AUG. 16: Strange Names + "Space Camp"

AUG. 23: Frankie Lee + fan favorite movie (voting opens soon)
