Kate Arends of popular lifestyle blog Wit & Delight to design party collection inspired by craft beer and artisan food.

Move over, big-name designers -- Target is turning over the reins to style bloggers for its latest designer collaboration. The Twin Cities-based retail giant announced yesterday that it would be launching a new series of limited-edition collections of party products designed by three of Pinterest's top pinners, available in stores and online beginning this spring.

Among them is Minneapolis' own Kate Arends of popular lifestyle and design blog Wit & Delight, who boasts a massive Pinterest following -- clocking in at more than 2.6 million followers. The 29-year-old Arends, who works as Director of Communications for Eric and Andrew Daytons' management company North Corp, has been a frequent guest contributor to nationally renowned design, fashion and home decor publications, including WWD and Nordstrom. She said in an email that she plans to turn her attention to her own design brand, Wit and Delight Design Studio, full time in April, though she'll keep Dayton brothers shop Askov Finlayson as a client, focusing on product design and development.

The first line, from L.A.-based graphic designer and Oh Joy! blogger Joy Cho, goes on sale March 16, followed by Vancouver's Han Halvarson of design blog and handmade e-commerce site Poppytalk in June. Arends' collection, fittingly inspired by the Twin Cities' recent artisan food and craft beer boom, launches in September. All of the collections will, of course, be unveiled on Target's Pinterest page.
