612Brew hosts an Art-A-Whirl bash.
Many have dubbed Northeast’s annual art crawl “Party-A-Whirl,” and for good reason -- it’s become arguably the biggest neighborhood-wide party of the year, with craft beer taprooms, restaurants and bars hosting block parties throughout the area, complete with top-notch live music lineups, craft beer and food trucks. (For the actual art events, click here.) Otherwise, here's what to hear, eat and drink at seven of this year's biggest block parties.
Music: In its second year at AAW, Northeast brewery and taproom 612Brew doubles its music lineup to nearly 20 music acts over the course of three days both outdoors and indoors, with highlights including MaLLY, Botzy, Black Market Brass, Big Jess of Unknown Prophet and Lydia Hoglund of Bomba de Luz.
Food: Food trucks include AZ Canteen, Motley Crews, Hibachi Durama, Tollefson's Family Grill, Midnord's Empanadas and Cajun 2 Geaux, which are hosting a full crawfish boil.
Drink: 612Brew beers Six, Rated R, Gateway Park, Zero Hour and Main Stage will be on tap.
What's More: Art will be on display by 612Brew mural artist Adam Turman and Dogfish Media.

Music: Indeed’s taproom hosts two days of live music from 11 acts including Southside Desire, Little Man, France Camp and the Chambermaids.
Food: Food trucks include Natedogs, Hot Indian, Vellee Deli, Gastrotruck and Simply Steve's.
Drink: The fest doubles as the release for Indeed’s LSD Honey Ale. Also available are their Shananigans Summer Ale, Ale, Day Tripper Pale Ale, Midnight Ryder American Black Ale and rotating special releases.

Stanley’s Beer & Bacon Festival
Music: Only two bands are on tap, the White Keys and Orange Whip, plus Spin Drive DJ.
Food: Stanley’s Craft Beer Festival relaunches as Stanley’s Beer & Bacon Festival, offering seven bacon flavors paired with beers and bacon-inspired dishes from Stanley's Food Truck.
Drink: Over 100 beers from 40-plus local and regional breweries.

Music: Mark Mallman and the Cloak Ox headline the 331’s annual backyard bash lineup of 27 bands, with other highlights including Dosh, BNLX, Sun Gods to Gamma Rays, Red Daughters, Tickle Torture, Hastings 3000 and Black Diet.
Food: The owners' St. Paul bar, Amsterdam, is providing the food -- smoked pork, sausages, Belgian frites and grilled veggies.
Drink: A beer trailer will be on site with Grain Belt and Schell's beers including Schell’s “The Current” beer, Radler, Nordeast and Premo, plus fresh fruit smoothies.
What's More: Art Shanties from the Art Shanty Project, including a cult cinema shanty by the Sound Unseen festival and an interactive dance shanty, will pop up.

Anchor Fish & Chips
Music: The Anchor hosts 13 bands over two days in its parking lot including Romantica, Marijuana Deathsquads, Magic Castles, the Cactus Blossoms and Black Audience.
Food: Anchor's fish and chips, pasties and battered sausage.
Drink: A Guinness-sponsored beer trailer.

Music: After nearly two years on hiatus, Crossing Guards return to the stage during Grumpy’s Northeast’s daylong fest. Other bands include the Blind Shake, Eleganza! and Romantica.
Food: Creature Comfort Catering will be on hand with “demon” dogs, pulled pork sandwiches, kimchi hot dogs and veggie options.
Drink: Full bar selection inside plus PBR, Surly and 2 Gingers at the patio bar.

Drink: Set in an expanded tiki garden, a ticket to Psycho Suzi’s "Drink-N-Whirl" party includes unlimited beer samples from Third Street Brewhouse, a Suzi's beer coozie and a boozy snow cone.
Food: Undead Frank's Zombie Bites food truck, which offers Suzi's Minne-Mex Rolls and a chicken meltie.
Entertainment: Live music TBA, plus a puppy fashion show (2:30 p.m.)
