The catch? Booze will only be available at one of the retail giant's Minnesota stores.

Target shoppers near Otsego will soon be able to pick up a six-pack of beer along with detergent and a loaf of bread.

Target Corp. will begin selling wine, beer and liquor later this summer in Minnesota, but only at its Otsego store on 87th St. NE., which opened in 2007. So far, the company is calling the single location a pilot, and isn’t confirming any expansion beyond the one store. “It’s an important part of Target’s ongoing efforts to deliver a convenient, one-stop shopping experience for our guests,” said spokeswoman Erica Julkowski in a statement.

The retailer has been selling wine, beer and spirits since 1996 and now offers it in 1,300 of its 1,800 locations.
