Capsule review: Here’s your chance to finally make good on that bet you lost, as this huge tattoo convention kicks off Friday with artists from more than 20 metro shops. Three artists from Japan will also be on hand for tebori tattooing, the traditional Japanese method of hand-tattooing sans machines. Tattoo appointments will be given on a first-come first-served basis, so reserve a slot with your favorite artist when you arrive (organizers recommend a phone call ahead of time if the artist is typically booked). Entertainment includes the Enigma, body modification king and founding member of the Jim Rose Circus, as well as Olde City Sideshow, a Vaudeville-style production complete with burlesque show.
