End of the Rainbow
A stage production about the comeback of Judy Garland.
Shouting, crying, kicking and screaming with a quavering voice that would make Katharine Hepburn sue for royalties, Tracie Bennett devours the London hotel room in which Peter Quilter’s play about late-in-life Judy Garland is set. Bennett offers a broadly mannered Garland, and performs songs with a live orchestra, in a bravura performance that is also an exhausting one.
