Barenaked Ladies
Don’t know how they’ll squeeze in all the music or if one of the band will get squeezed out time-wise. With a 10:30 p.m. curfew for music at the Minnesota Zoo, the triple header of Cracker, Blues Traveler and Barenaked Ladies will be a logisitical challenge — even with an earlier zoo start than usual. At least, Cracker specializes in crisp 1990s modern-rock such as the radio smash “Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now).” John Popper reins in the harmonica solos on Blues Traveler’s 2012 entry “Suzie Cracks the Whip,” which is full of modern pop, some cowritten with Ron Sexsmith. Like the other two bands on this bill, BNL peaked in the ’90s but still deliver humorous folk-pop with a Canadian accent. Jon Bream
