Robert Earl Keen
Robert Earl Keen has long followed the well-worn paths of apparent idol Jerry Jeff Walker and his old Aggie classmate Lyle Lovett on record. Now he’s doing it on tour, escaping the Texas summer heat with a trek to the northern states. The writer of such Americana/Texana staples as “The Road Goes on Forever,” “Feeling Good Again” and “Merry Christmas From the Family,” Keen has one of the best live bands of his ilk and put out one of his best records yet last year, “Ready for Confetti.” Local roadhouse-twang virtuoso Erik Koskinen opens.
