Frank Turner & the Sleeping Souls
A former British punk rocker, Frank Turner has evolved over the course of five solo albums into a smart, witty singer-songwriter with an attitude. On 2011’s “England Keeps My Bones,” he delivered songs like a punk Billy Bragg. “I Still Believe” was one of the coolest singles of 2011, a drinking anthem about the saving power of rock ‘n’ roll, from Elvis to Kanye. Turner, 30, can turn into a political and social commentator but he also has the ability to get personal and romantic. In any case, he’s a very British and very sharp musicmaker. Opening acts are Jenny Owen Youngs and Larry & His Flask. Jon Bream
