Talk about pioneers: It's Greek to Me co-owners Aris and Denise Arambadjis (along with Alkis and Soula Arambadjis) have been feeding souvlaki and spanakopita to Lake Street diners for more than a quarter-century. Their Greek-American restaurant is more American than Greek. There are lots of references to familiar Hellenic tastes (feta, gyros, kebabs, grape leaves, spanakopita, baklava and the like) but nothing's too spicy or out there. It's Minnesota ethnic, served in gigantic portions and sold at reasonable prices. The mural-clad dining rooms are pleasant, the wine list is affordable, the roster of daily specials features lots of fresh seafood and the servers shout "Opa" with some enthusiasm when they torch the kasseri cheese. What's not to like?
