Frightened Rabbit

After three albums of Radiohead-copping frazzled rock, Scottish quartet Frightened Rabbit has found an identity all its own on its latest and best effort to date, “Pedestrian Verse.” The dramatic, Current-spinning lead single, “The Woodpile,” is a good taste of the rest of the record’s highly charged, reverb-burning energy. Yet another band landing our way next week following a run at the SXSW fest. Fellow Scots the Twilight Sad should complement nicely in the opening slot. Chris Riemenschneider
