MSP Fashion Week runs Feb. 15-22 with a series of events highlighting the best in Twin Cities fashion.

Red Dress Collection

In the Twin Cities version of New York Fashion Week’s popular Red Dress Collection show, designers create one-of-a-kind red dresses worn by celebrity models to benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women heart-disease initiative. Talent including Emma Berg, Adrienne Yancy, Laura Fulk, Max Lohrbach and a dozen others will showcase looks on notables such as Miss Minnesota 2012 Krista Wanous and WCCO anchor Amelia Santaniello. Third Thursday: Fashion Night

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts’ Third Thursday event takes on a vintage-fashion theme, with a retro runway show featuring resale shops Via’s Vintage, Everyday People, Blacklist Vintage, Tatters and Rewind Vintage, plus a styled photo booth and live music from Mayda. The Shows

Fashion Week’s signature Shows return for two full nights with fall 2013 collections from 10 Twin Cities designers. Next Thursday, cult favorites Max Lohrbach and Ivan Idland will show for the first time since Voltage 2011, along with Gina Marie Vintage, Nicole Larson and Kjurek. Next Friday, Samantha Rei presents a mix of separates, knits, jackets and party dresses in a ’90s club kid-inspired cavalcade of neon colors and faux fur, while “Project Runway” darling Christopher Straub promises a trip through a “couture candy store.” With Mary Pranica, Tim + Thom and Caroline Hayden.
