SATURDAY

Envision: Artopia

The semiannual Envision is a staple in the local fashion scene. Producer Ignite Models hasn’t shifted from its tried-and-true formula: showcasing looks from a dozen or so local designers and boutiques in a no-frills runway show. The perennially popular event showcases a more commercial side of the local fashion industry, but the inclusion of style maven Davee Ek as the show’s stylist should make things interesting. The show is short on returning designers (only KJurek and Russell Bourrienne remain), with the bulk of the talent coming from fresh faces — Kora Gleason, Lindsey DeWitt, MAI and Marissa Bridges — along with boutiques Atmosfere, CounterCouture, martinpatrick3, Roe Wolfe and Cliché. Fulfilling the “Artopia” part of the equation are a silent art auction, live art and a gallery by RAW. (8 p.m. VIP reception, 10 p.m. show. $25-$75. Graves 601 Hotel, 601 1st Av. N., Mpls. www.envisionmpls.com.)
