Whether you're happily coupled or filling the cavernous void that is your love life with copious amounts of booze, Valentine's Day can be a spendy evening. But it doesn't have to be. Whatever your relationship status, there's a V-Day value to suit your needs.

The Gray House

610 W. Lake St., Mpls. • 612-823-4338 • www.thegrayhouseeats.com

Discount-coveting couples should be excited about this Lyn-Lake gastropub’s day-o’-love deals. All of chef/owner Ian Gray’s upscale pub grub is half-priced, as are sparkling wines. Honesty is the foundation of a healthy relationship, but if you feign surprise at these specials to duck cheapskate accusations, it’ll be our little secret.

Lyndale Tap House

2937 Lyndale Av. S., Mpls. • 612-825-6150 • www.thelyndale.com

Whether you’re single, taken or testing out a potential mate, the Tap House takes care of thrifty Valentine’s Day guests. For $10, loners and secure singles can enjoy a pit sandwich and a pint, while ball-and-chained bros can grab a pair of pints and pits, plus a chocolate cake, for $25. We’re not saying you should fake a domestic partnership for cake, but we’ve seen worse.

Triple Rock Social Club

629 Cedar Av. S., Mpls. • 612-333-7399 • www.triplerocksocialclub.com

Unless you’re an elderly small-town couple, bingo doesn’t seem super romantic. But Blingo night at the Triple Rock (8-10 p.m. Thu.) is suitable for singles to wallow in their beers or creepily put out vibes (or just enjoy a fun, mentally stable night out). Dollar-off Surly beers are a tab-curbing bonus, and bingo prizes could warm even the loneliest hearts.
