How’s your bracket? Hot? Not so hot? In any case, wash down the action with these bar bargains.

For sports fans and gambling addicts, March Madness is the most wonderful time of the year. No matter how many buzzer beaters chip away at your savings account, there’s always a chance to go double or nothing. But even when Lady Luck repeatedly kicks you in the groin, these tourney-time bar deals can numb the pain.

Joe Senser’s Sports Theater

4217 American Blvd. W., Bloomington • 952-835-1191 •

This big-screen-laden “sports theater” is like a domestic beer commercial without the out-of-shape gomer inexplicably dating a cover-girl beauty. Still, the suburban sports bar/megaplex is a bro’s paradise: a bazillion TVs, beer, wings and such. Plus, Coors Light and Miller Lite taps and tallboys are $4 and $3.50, respectively, during NCAA games.

Ryan’s Pub

1410 Nicollet Av. S., Mpls. • 612-208-0826 •

With all the multicultural restaurants and hip cocktail bars, Eat Street isn’t known for its sports bar(s). But like a beer-stocked lighthouse in a sea of salsa and Chartreuse, Ryan’s is a beacon for neighborhood hoops fans. And with $4 20-ounce Michelob Goldens and $6 chicken tender baskets during the games, you should still have enough cash for one of those swanky cocktails.

Stanley’s Northeast Bar Room

2500 University Av. NE., Mpls. • 612-788-2529 •

While those finely tuned college athletes are hitting the hardwood, plant your lazy backside on one of Stanley’s barstools. This blue-chip beer bar makes it cheap all tournament long with $4 Summit pints during the games. Consider reinvesting those savings into a plate of nachos or loaded cheese fries. Michael Rietmulder
