Before drummer Coady Willis and bassist Jared Warren joined cult stoner-metal band the Melvins, which plays Grumpy's on Wednesday without this swampy rhythm section, the two had their own sludgy stable to tend to. Since joining their more famous brethren, the L.A.-based Willis (also of Murder City Devils) and Warren have trudged on with Big Business' similar brand of low-end rumbling mayhem, releasing three fuzz-battered albums and a number of EPs and 7-inches. It's a good week to be a fan of heavily distorted dirge rock. Gay Witch Abortion and Lungs open.
