Best known for her experimental, genre-hopping work under the name My Brightest Diamond — plus her collaborations with Sufjan Stevens and the Decemberists — Shara Worden is one of the music world’s most unclassifiable artists. She’s bringing “Penelope,” a collaboration with composer Sarah Kirkland Snider, to the Twin Cities as part of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra’s Liquid Music concert series. Performed with accompaniment from contemporary ensemble yMusic, the dreamy 2010 song cycle based loosely on Homer’s “Odyssey” exists somewhere between orchestral indie rock and chamber music. The concert will be presented alongside a commissioned “spatial intervention” installation by acclaimed Minneapolis art and design studio RO/LU. Jahna Peloquin
