Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

9 p.m. • First Avenue • 18-plus • $20-$22

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is one of those trendlessly cool bands that has made First Ave a home away from home, and like the club it remains charmingly unchanged. The California trio piled on the usual mean guitar roar and a little more melody on its seventh album, “Specter at the Feast.” The disc’s Current-spun cover of the Call’s “Let the Day Begin” is a touching ode to bassist Robert Levon Been’s recently deceased father, Michael, who was the Call’s guitarist. Adding to BRMC’s buzz this time around is opening act the newno2, led by Dhani Harrison. The second Beatles’ son to play the club in two weeks (after James McCartney’s Entry gig) is another one who seems naturally gifted. Chris Riemenschneider

Insane Clown Posse

7 p.m. • Myth • all ages • $25-$30

Few fanbases have been as widely ridiculed as Insane Clown Posse’s cult following of “Juggalos.” Between the grease paint and white-trash-gangsta decorum, it’s easy to see why. But one thing is clear: They don’t give a flying Faygo. Until the FBI gets involved, that is. After a 14-month investigation by the bureau’s Salt Lake City branch (natch), the horrorcore heavyweights of ICP filed a suit last fall over the feds’ classifying Juggalos as a gang. It ain’t easy being down with the clown. ICP is touring in support of last year’s “The Mighty Death Pop!” LP. The Moonshine Bandits and Kung Fu Vampire open. Michael Rietmulder

Heiruspecs scholarship show

8 p.m. • Turf Club • $8-$10

The Heiruspecs have St. Paul pride aplenty, and the hip-hop band has made a habit of giving back to the city that birthed it. The seasoned sextet has partnered with the St. Paul Central High School Foundation to start the Heiruspecs Scholarship Fund, which helps artistically inclined Central grads pay for postsecondary education. All artists on this fourth annual fundraiser gig will donate their cut to the charity. With Sean Anonymous, a Beatnick DJ set and Whistlekid. M.R.
