Hard-touring, hard-shredding blues dude Tinsley Ellis has been going hard since the mid-1970s. Equal parts a product of B.B. King and classic rock, the Florida native, 56, puts his stellar guitar work front and center, à la Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Clapton. More of a road dog than a star, he has still proven influential in blues circles; Fargo, N.D., native Jonny Lang covered Ellis’ “A Quitter Never Wins” on his breakout 1997 disc “Lie to Me.” Ellis is out on tour promoting his latest, “Get It!,” released in March. He’d like you to get it. Jay Boller
