The List of Lists '10
Celebrating the "best" things in our world is the bread and butter of entertainment media. Here at Vita.mn, we like to do it with top-10 lists -- one of the primary social applications on www.vita.mn. Online users can create lists about anything (2,079 lists and counting) and contribute their top 10 picks -- in topics ranging from "Best Italian Restaurants" to "Best Patios" to "Favorite Record Stores" to "Date Foods That Might Get You Laid." The most popular answers rise to the top in the master lists seen online and in this issue. This year, we've packed in more new categories, more shout-outs to worthy local businesses, more nods to neighborhoods and geography, more cuisine types -- just plain more. Nearly 400 users added their 10 cents to more than 150 featured lists in June, resulting in the annual issue you're now holding. The best part? If you disagree with anything you see here, you can make your case. Just go to www.vita.mn/lists and contribute your own picks ... or start a list or two of your own. The endless circle of lists continues!
About the List of Lists
The reader-created lists in this issue are for the most part a snapshot of how they appeared on www.vita.mn on July 2, 2010. New this year, all of the lists are shown with only the votes from the past 12 months (all-time rankings dating to 2006 are viewable online). Because our lists are forever living and breathing, some rankings may have changed since deadline and will continue to evolve. All lists are 100 percent unscientific, subjective and legally nonbinding. Find out more at www.vita.mn/lists.
