Everybody's Favourite, or easy answer?

Memory Lanes has everything you might be looking for in a bowling alley, it seems. It's a little bit kitschy (Memory Lanes, with The Flashback Cafe and Cocktail Lounge?), there are lots of well-kept lanes to be bowled, a great juke box, a bar with good liquor, a kitchen that makes better than average bar-type food, a staff that is neither too accomodating or sarcastic, and rates that are decent enough. It's a place that's perfectly safe for kids, cool enough for groups of tweens or teens, ironic enough for a gaggle of hipsters, and dull enough for a few middle-agers alike. But, it seems altogether too easy to me, like the reason people come here is just that everyone else they know comes here, and few have branched out to explore other lanes in the area. There's nothing spectacular about Memory Lanes to me. With something like 25 lanes in the area, I'd think there's got to be something that's got some real sparkle. I aim to find this special place, a bowling alley that provides a far more memorable experience than Memory Lanes. Rating: ***
