Flip for it I enjoy the opportunity to engage in a little low stakes gambling for my happy hour drinks. They flip a coin and you call it. Guess correctly, free drink. What's the worst that can happen? You pay for your own drink? |

Had A Blast I am normally a nightclub guy and had a blast Friday night at Bootleggers! A crowd of people just out to have fun. Great mix of music, live and dj! Super strong drinks too! Rating: **** |

Just another typical DT bar This place always has a line down the block, even when its below zero. I figured if people are willing to do that, this bar must be jumpin. So, I braved the subzero temps and stood in line, which moved pretty fast. Once I got in, it was a blur of people. It's a big bar-2 levels and filled to the brim. After not being able to freely maneuver through the crowds and hearing the not-so-great cover band, I could only ponder, "Why the hell are people waiting in line to get into this place?" It's just another, typical downtown bar filled with a bunch of drunken college kids. The people there aren't very attractive and on top of that, I had to pay a measly $4 which would've been better spent on a value meal at McDonald's. Check it out to satisfy your curiousity, but it's not worth making a downtown frequent. Rating: *** |

No food, drunk frat boys, cheap drinks...a recipe for DISASTER! Sure they got a great happy hour (2-4-1s on Friday nights from 8-10pm...no where else can you find such a happy hour on such a popular night to be out), but they have absolutely NO food...not even a bowl of peanuts...so I guess if your one goal for the evening is to get drunk, this is your place. The place was FREEZING...and it was the end of December! I swear there was cold air blowing on me. It is nothing really special (wood everything). Staff was friendly enough. Once the college girls showed up in their tank tops (um...I believe it was the coldest day of December when we were there...TANK TOPS?) and gaggles of college men began slamming their 2-4-1 drinks, I knew it was time to leave...
